WATCH: Four-year-old shot dead, father wounded in Manchester gun attack

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A four-year-old girl was shot dead and her father injured in a gun attack in Landsettlement near Royal Flat in Manchester on Sunday.

Relatives have so far only identified the child as Sanoya.

Preliminary reports from the police are that about 4:20 pm the child and her father were in a black Toyota Voxy when they were ambushed by gunmen who opened fire on the vehicle.

The injured man and his child were rushed to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where the four-year-old girl was pronounced dead on arrival.

Up to 8:00 pm on Sunday, police were still processing both the shooting scene and the Toyota Voxy.
