Spanish Town woman slapped with ganja-related charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A bartender has been charged with possession of ganja and dealing in ganja in connection with the seizure of several parcels of ganja on Hartland’s main road, Spanish Town in St Catherine, on Saturday, February 14.
Charged is 22-year-old Syleena Davy, of Kings Street, Spanish Town in St Catherine.
Reports from the Area 5 Agricultural Protection Branch (APB) are that about 2:40 am, a team was on mobile patrol in the area when a premises was searched.
According to the police, during the search 53 parcels of ganja were found.
The police said upon further investigation it was revealed that Davy was selling the drug at the location.
She was informed of the offence and taken into custody, where she was charged.
Her court date is being finalised.
