Security guard robbed on Harbour Street

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A security guard was robbed of his cellular phone, cash and other personal items in the vicinity of GraceKennedy on Harbour Street in downtown Kingston on Thursday.

The company has since confirmed the incident in a statement.

No injuries were reported and GraceKennedy said all team members and contractors are safe.

“The safety and well-being of our team remain our highest priority, and we are providing the necessary support to the individual who was present at the time the robbery occurred,” the company said.

The Kingston Central Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting investigations into the matter.
