Faulkland FC win three straight in Sandals Major League
Former champions Faulkland FC won their third-straight game in the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League after beating Granville United 7-0 at Jarrett Park on Saturday.
Ewan Barton and Darnel Brissett both scored braces for Faulkland FC, who led 2-0 at half-time.
Tavane Kerr put Faulkland FC in the lead in the 37th minute and Mikhail Samuels scored in the 41st to make the score 2-0.
Rasheed Brown made it 3-0 in the 58th minute before Barton and Brissett took over with four goals in the last 27 minutes.
Heights FC won back-to-back games, edging Montego Bay Boys Club 1-0 in the first game played at Jarrett Park on Saturday, Tevin Haughton scoring in the 16th minute of play as they stayed at the top of the tables in Zone B on seven points.
On Sunday, Montego Bay United Youths beat Norwood United 2-0 at Jarrett Park, Nicardo Tomlinson scoring in the 16th minute and Chrisano Lawrence added another in the 66th minute.
Lilliput Rovers, who finished with 10 players, came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw against MoBay City FC at Wespow Park on Saturday.
Amari Reid gave Lilliput Rovers the lead in the 38th minute but Tavin Leslie, who scored both goals for MoBay City FC, equalised in the 47th minute and then gave them the lead in the 55th minute.
Adrian Grizzle levelled for Lilliput Rovers in the 67th minute but the team was reduced to 10 players when Theodore Notise was sent off in the 70th minute.
On Tuesday, Bogue FC rebounded from back to back losses to beat Cambridge FC 2-0 at the UDC Field with goals from Tashwayne Russell and Leejay Escoffrey.
