Zodiakk’s album ‘Roots In The Underground’ getting good reviews
Up-and-coming roots reggae fusion artiste, Zodiakk has many reasons to smile of late considering the positive feedback from pundits to his debut album, Roots In The Underground.
The artiste was recently dubbed “One To Watch in Reggae for 2026” by CVM TV entertainment show, Onstage.
His Take It Easy single is currently doing well on all major streaming platforms including over 790,000 streams on YouTube.
Zodiakk indicates he spent years developing his sound.
“I started writing songs when I was 6 on my dad’s old handheld tape recorder. I began producing and taking music more seriously around the age of 12,” he said, adding “I went to the Atlanta Institute of Music out of high school and that’s when I started treating music like a 9-5 job. Since then, I’ve been working on finding and developing my sound to what can be heard on my debut album, Roots In The Undergound.”
Born Zachary Jones, Zodiakk had a strong support system that aided his musical development. Fast forward to 2026 and the roots reggae fusion artiste is a bonafide subject in the reggae conversation globally.
Take It Easy, War Cry and No Prisoners are among the standout tracks on the album hailed by reggae purists.
While continuing to promote Roots In The Underground, Zodiakk is busy in the studio working on his follow-up project, which he said will be a double album titled Universal Love.
