KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Supreme Ventures Foundation (SVF) is calling on members of the public to help shine a light on the unsung community development stalwarts of Jamaica for its fourth cohort of the Supreme Community Hero programme.

The initiative recognises and supports microbusinesses contributing to the social sustainability of their communities.

Nominations are officially open and will run until March 22, 2026. Members of the public are invited to visit sv-foundation.com to submit their nominations.

From the pool of nominees, the five most outstanding heroes will be shortlisted to participate in a comprehensive support package designed to foster both community development and business sustainability.

SVF Director Heather Goldson emphasised the foundation’s commitment to providing both the capital and the capacity-building tools needed for long-term success.

“There are so many Jamaicans who are doing great work in their communities with very limited resources. This programme was designed to identify them, support them with developing sustainable businesses and provide them with additional resources to do even more great work,” she said.

“We are now going into our fourth cohort of ‘Supreme Heroes’ and I am very pleased that each year the participants make us proud with the progress they make and their accomplishments after participating in the programme. We are certainly looking forward to the nominations for this year and encourage the public to nominate those individuals making a real difference in their community,” she added.

Tishauna Mullings, chief success officer of NexxStepp Lifelong Educational Services, earned the title of 2025 Supreme Hero after months of training, development and impactful community projects.

The project is facilitated by Changemakers Limited, who conduct extensive background research to validate nominees, working closely with the Mona Entrepreneurial and Commercialisation Centre (MECC), which provides the retooling training course for all five selected heroes.
