Distin finishes10th in women’s high jump at World Indoors
Jamaica’s Lamara Distin finished 10th in the women’s high jump on the first morning of the World Athletics Indoor Championships at Kujawsko-Pomorska Arena in Toruń, Poland on Friday.
Distin, who has a season’s best 1.96m, managed to only clear 1.85m – the starting height – before crashing out of the competition at 1.93m.
The former three-time NCAA champion at Texas A&M University and finalist at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2023, was competing at her first World Indoor Championships.
All field events at the championships are just finals.
