Cops probing man’s death in St Ann

ST ANN, Jamaica — Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Draxhall, St Ann on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the vicinity of a commercial plaza.

According to Observer Online sources, sometime after 3:00 pm, two males were involved in an altercation when one allegedly used a stone to hit the other in the head.

It is further alleged that the male who was hit with the stone left the vicinity then returned and used a machete to inflict chop wounds to the other male.

The police responded to calls and transported the man with chop wounds to hospital where he subsequently died. Up to late evening, the police were still processing the scene of the altercation.

The deceased has not yet been identified.
