#Champs2026: Marquies Page breaks Class 2 110m hurdles record
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Marquies Page shattered Vashaun Vascianna’s seven year old Boys Class 2 110m hurdles record after he ran 12.98 seconds in Friday’s semi- finals at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships at the national stadium.
Vascianna had run 13.26 seconds in 2019 before Page who was second last year, took .28 seconds off it.
Calabar High’s Divondrae Matthews also booked his place in Saturday’s final with 13.34 seconds along with Mark-Daniel Allen of Wolmers- 13.39 and Jhabarie Whyte of Vere -13.65.
Calabar High’s Dijon Swaine leads the Class 1 qualifiers after he ran 13.35 seconds, followed by Kingston College’s Taj-Oneil Gordon- 13.39, Hydel High’s Robert Miller -13.45 and Buff Bay High’s Davion Myers- 13.47.
Adrian Phillips of Jamaica College was the fastest in the Class 3 100m hurdles semis with 12.96 seconds, Jamali Laing of William Knibb was next with 13.19, followed by Drequan Jones of Kingston College who ran 13.28, Alex Lewis of Calabar High 13.35 and Dylan Bent of Manchester High 13.35.
