Motorist charged after Cash App card found during traffic stop
MONTEGO BAY, St James — A man who allegedly gave conflicting accounts of how he came to be in possession of someone else’s Cash App card appeared before the St James Parish Court on Wednesday, facing charges of possession of an access device.
Represented by attorney Martyn Thomas, Damanie Biggs appeared before Judge Natiesha Fairclough-Hylton.
The case stems from February 21 when the investigating officer conducting a roadblock signalled a white motor car to stop. During the stop, a phone belonging to Biggs was discovered. Upon removing the phone case, officers found a yellow
Cash App card in another person’s name.
When questioned about the card and possible involvement in lottery scamming, Biggs reportedly replied, “Me a do a little ting.”

After his arrest, under caution, Biggs allegedly added, “Offica mi naah tell yuh no lie, a one of mi clients.”
After outlining the allegations of the case, Wednesday, the court clerk revealed that the Communication Forensics and Cybercrime Division (CFCD) report and the corroborating officer’s statement were still outstanding.
The matter was set for mention on June 16, and Biggs’ bail was extended.
