ZIMI Seh Beach takes over Puerto Seco on Sunday

...inks partnership with Main Event Ent

ZIMI Seh Beach, partnering with Main Event Entertainment Limited, takes over Puerto Seco Beach Club on Sunday for its first beach party outside the Best Weekend Ever series since 2022.

“We expect this Sunday to be another high-energy beach party, ZIMI Seh Beach at Puerto Seco, a food-inclusive event. We will have stages and cabanas in the water. We are bringing the same vibes, quality, and execution with Main Event as a partner,” said Nicholas Mahfood, director, ZIMI Entertainment.

“We want people to come out and enjoy the day on Sunday,” Mahfood added, pointing out that ZIMI Seh Beach will still have its traditional staging later this year, August 9, within the Best Weekend Ever series held throughout the Independence celebration holidays.

Emphasising that ZIMI Seh is enjoying a growth spurt, Mahfood said the brand is always keen to add new experiences for patrons.

“Just like how we started off with ZIMI Seh Road in 2016, other brands came on afterwards — ZIMI Seh Riva in 2017 and ZIMI Seh Brunch in 2018.

“We were already working with Main Event for our three brands — ZIMI Road, Riva, and Beach — when we decided to add a second Beach, especially after taking brunch to Caymanas Park in January of this year, the first time any such event was held there.

“Main Event did our second ZIMI Seh Riva, 2018. The quality, in terms of execution, not having to worry about whether the set-up is going to be on time, has always been reassuring. They have good staff to ensure the experience is great, raising the bar by investing in quality equipment,” Mahfood added, explaining the partnership with Main Event.

Patrick Scott, production manager, Main Event Entertainment, has been in charge of ZIMI Seh projects since Main Event came on board as logistic partner in 2018.

“The ZIMI series is a big experience, we do the Riva, Beach, and Brunch. Whenever a client engages Main Event they are expecting a world-class experience, which is what we provide. Our crews are highly trained persons, building stages and cabanas in open water, so the promoter has to have trust in ensuring their patrons are safe,” Scott explained.

“We also have a strong logistics background, which drives Main Event. We have perfected logistics with the work we have done for the last 20 years,” he added.

An excited Mahfood said ZIMI was moved to partner with Main Event Entertainment after learning of the logistics and equipment company’s foray into production, which started last May with its Jamaica Auto show.

“Prior to COVID it was ZIMI Seh Riva and Brunch. After COVID hit and everybody started missing parties we returned and realised there was an extra-high demand for the brand, which led us to being a part of Best Weekend in 2022.

“Everything we do is about growth. We are partnering with Main Event for a second ZIMI Seh Beach just as how we are doing a second ZIMI Brunch, in collaboration with Sumfest on Sunday, July 19,” Mahfood emphasised, adding that patrons could be in for a surprise on Sunday following cameo appearances by Skippa and Skillibeng at ZIMI Seh Riva last Boxing Day.

Mellissa Tulloch, assistant vice president, corporate strategy and joint ventures, Main Event Entertainment Group, seals the deal for Zimi Seh Beach with Nicholas Mahfood, director, ZIMI Entertainment.
