Dane Dawkins shines with four-winner haul at Caymanas Park

Dane Dawkins, a former champion jockey, had a standout performance at Saturday’s (March 28, 2026) race meet, securing four wins on the 10-race card.

His winning horses included Money Market, which took the $1.4-million Gregory Park Sprint Trophy, and Feeling Free, which won the $780,000 Grooms’ Association of Jamaica Trophy co-feature. Dawkins’ other winners were Olivia D’Oro and Emperorofthecats.

The trainers behind these wins are Gary Subratie for Money Market, Peter-John Parsard for Feeling Free and Olivia D’Oro, and oral Hayden, who owns and trains Emperorofthecats.

Money Market (Successful Native – Soca Dancer) came from behind runners to easily win the Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward by 2 ¾ lengths. He ran five furlongs (1,000m) round in 1:00.1 (23.2 x 47.1).

The six-year-old bay horse raced prominently behind She’s That Girl (Tajay Suckoo) and
Zulu Warrior (Tyrese Anderson) going into the half-mile (800m) turn. Money Market challenged She’s That Girl in deep stretch before pulling way inside the final furlong (200m) for an easy win. She’s That Girl finished second and Zulu Warrior finished third.

Feeling Free also came from behind runners to win the Restricted Allowance IV contest for native-bred four-year-olds and upward (non-winners of three) and imported four-year-olds and upward (non-winners of two) over five furlongs (1,000m) on the straight course.
Feeling Free (Northern Giant – Fantastic Feeling) got up in time to beat Strong Mind (Raddesh Roman) and Margarita (Clive Lynch) by a length on the wire. The final time was 0:59.4.

Three-year-old American-bred dark bay brown filly Olivia D’Oro was an easy winner of a $1.05-million Maiden Special Weight contest for native-bred and imported three-year-olds over 7 furlongs (1,400m).

Wearing the cheek pieces and first time lasix, Olivia D’Oro won by a length and a half ahead of Unbelievable Force (Delroy Beharie) and Infinity Star (Paul Francis) in a time of 1:28.0 (24.1 x 48.0 x 1:14.2).

Emperorofthecats, a seven-year-old bay gelding, dominated three-year-old and upward claiming ($1.5m-$1.2m) spread, winning the 5 ½ furlong (1,000m) race by 2 ½ lengths. He defeated Press Conference (Robert Halledeen) and D Head Cornerstone (Reyan Lewis) in a time of 1:07.3.
