Frazsiers Whip hammer Mile Gully in JWPL

Three-time defending champions Frazsiers Whip extended their perfect winning start to the Jamaica Women’s Premier League with an 11-0 trouncing of Mile Gully FC at Anthony Spaulding Complex on Saturday.
Three players scored hat-tricks for the champions who extended their ‘shut out’ wins over the Manchester club to three-straight dating back to last season when they won 7-0 and 11-0.
Arnett Gardens, meanwhile, lost their perfect record when they were held 1-1 by Cavalier FC in the second game of the double-header at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Frazsiers Whip led 7-0 at half-time by which time Shanel Spence had completed her hat-trick. Christina Salmon and Nevillegail Able both completed their trifectas in time added at the end of the second half.
Carlletia Savizon had a second-half brace for Frazsiers Whip.
In the second game, Arnett Gardens took the lead in only the second minute of the game through Shikira Douglas. But Cavalier, last season’s finalists, grabbed a point when Brooklyn Harmony Grant equalised in the 85th minute.
In a goal-filled game at Carder Park, home team WiFi United and Real Mona battled to a 3-3 result with the lead changing hands on multiple occasions.
Olivia Ashbourne, who had a brace, gave Real Mona the lead in the 19th minute, but Gory-Ann Grant scored in the 29th and 34th to give WiFi United a 2-1 edge at half time.
Kharisa McLaren drew Real Mona level in the 61st minute and the corporate area-based team regained the lead in the 70th minute when Ashbourne converted a penalty.
Jelissa Coke, however, ensured parity for WiFi United when she scored in time added.
Venicia Reid scored a hat-trick as Los Perfectos won a third-straight game when they blanked Real MoBay AFC 3-0 at Jarrett Park, as the home team crashed to four losses in a row.
Federal United won their second game of the season, when they outscored Springers United 3-2 at Irwin High School, with an own goal making the difference.
Shaquiella Williams gave Federal the lead in the 38th minute, but Jordan Maxwell equalised in the 47th minute. An own goal two minutes later handed Federal United the lead.
Keshera Bailey then pulled Springers level in the 72nd minute before Monalee Maxwell scored the winner in the 74th.
The UWI Women’s versus Proven Girls contest set for the UWI Bowl was not played due to severe weather conditions that affected parts of Kingston and St Andrew.
