2025/26 NFL season: Week 11, Rams vs Seahawks in the spotlight

2025/26 NFL season: Week 11, Rams vs Seahawks in the spotlight

We are officially in the business end of the 2025/26 National Football League (NFL) regular season and, after an action-packed Week 10, Week 11 promises to be another blockbuster. The bookend games – Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football – aside, NFL fans were treated to very high-octane offence in Week 10, including the league’s first game in Berlin, Germany, where the Indianapolis Colts beat the Atlanta Falcons 31-25 in overtime, the Miami Dolphins had a shocking 30-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills, and the late Sunday afternoon games, which saw a pair of 44-22 blow-outs, as the Detroit Lions routed the Washington Commanders and the Seattle Seahawks crushed the Arizona Cardinals.

And following last weekend’s results, three teams in the American Football Conference (AFC) – the New England Patriots, Colts and Denver Broncos – emerged with a league-leading record of 8-2, to the surprise of even the most devoted fan, while the AFC heavyweights – the Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs – are currently on the fringe of playoff qualifications. Conversely, in the National Football Conference (NFC), things appear to be a bit more orderly, with the Seahawks the only real surprise frontrunner.

With those factors in mind, there are some eagerly anticipated Week 11 matchups that should have very meaningful impact on how the season shapes up. There are a few games, featuring top-10 teams, that should be on the must-watch list of every NLF fan: the Detroit Lions (6-3) visiting the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles (7-2), the Chiefs (5-4) calling on the Denver Broncos (8-2), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) heading to Buffalo to take on the Bills (6-3), and the anticipated marquee encounter, the Seahawks (7-2) at the Los Angeles Rams (7-2).

JustBet has all the above listed home teams entering the weekend as favourites, except for the Broncos, who are underdogs by just over a field goal. And with the Broncos playing at home, after winning seven-straight, this one is a head-scratcher and may be one of the best outsiders bets available this weekend. The Chiefs lost a heart-breaker to the Bills before going off on their bye last weekend and should be well rested for this encounter, but the Broncos are 5-0 at home this season and will give as good as they get. The mile-high air is not the most comfortable to play in, but if Kansas City can pull off this win, they will find themselves in the group of bona fide contenders, again.

The matchup between the Seahawks and the Rams is billed as a clash of the titans and has the NFL-world bracing for impact, as these two teams have not trailed in a game since Week 6, and they are both neck-and-neck in the NFC West Division, after four straight wins each. This rivalry has been played 55 times (including two postseason games), with the Rams winning 27 games and the Seahawks winning 28, but the Rams have had the better run in the last few years, winning 12 of the 17 matchups since 2017.

It’s a second-straight division rivalry week for both teams as the Seahawks took care of the Arizona Cardinals (44-22), and the Rams summarily dispatched the San Francisco 49ers (42-26), last weekend. Both quarterbacks, Matt Stafford of the Rams and Sam Darnold of the Seahawks, are expected to keep the scoreboard in SoFi Stadium ticking and therefore, the game should be decided on which team does the better job of stopping their opponent. The Rams rank second in the NFL, allowing just 17 points per game, while the Seahawks rank fourth at 19.1 points per game, which creates very little separation between them, but all this may go out the window if a shootout ensues.

An interesting backstory involves wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who signed with the Seahawks earlier this year, and his connection with the Rams. Kupp, a third-round pick in 2017, spent eight seasons with the Rams, including a 2021 season that was one of the best in league history for a receiver. He led the NFL with 145 catches, 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns on his way to first-team All-Pro and Offensive Player of the Year, then capped that amazing season with a Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award, after the Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.

According to Kupp, “It’s another football game,” as he prepares to face the team that released him in the off-season in a salary-cap related transfer. He may be playing down the moment or trying to shake any feelings of nostalgia, but this is as big a game as any for the 32-year-old veteran receiver. And while he is not being targeted at a high rate, as he was during his time with the Rams, he has been very productive when called on, catching 26 passes for 367 yards and a touchdown, and has provided valuable leadership to a young Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is putting up historic numbers, leading the league in receiving yards (1,041).

This is shaping up to be an epic battle. The Rams will debut their Nike Rivalries uniform, an all-dark navy color scheme, while the Seahawks will be rocking their classic away look, which is a white jersey paired with navy pants, for the first time this season. The colours won’t clash but that is not the expectation on the field. The action is expected to hit hard and often, so strap in and brace for a joyride this Sunday afternoon. Are you ready for some football?
