Buying lingerie — Tips for men

I applaud you for wanting to buy something for that special women in your life that’s going to make her look and feel more beautiful. Women love attractive lingerie for that one simple reason: it makes them look and feel more beautiful.

In this article, I will show you that buying lingerie for her is easy and great fun. The information herein will help you find the make, the selection or item that will make her smile and blush, and put the sparkle into your relationship!

Come on, chocolates are unhealthy, flowers wither and precious jewellry is a strain on the budget. Surprise her with your brand new knowledge in lingerie by presenting her with a luxurious gift from your intimate apparel and body essentials store.

Help for gentlemen

Proper size and comfort are very important, just as important is finding the right style to match her personality. Finding that perfect balance between what she wants and what you’d like to see her in can be pretty tricky, especially, with intimate apparel and body essentials.

Your best source of reliable information regarding the styles that a women would like is the woman herself. Has she dropped any hints- Ask her if she would like any particular items of lingerie. Women want lingerie is designs, which provide tasteful coverage while leaving some things to the imagination. Concentrate on luxurious fabrics and elegant designs in her favourite colours…it should be apparent that your selection was made with her tastes in mind.

Lingerie which she feels comfortable and attractive wearing will see lots of use.

The basics

Band size: This is the measurement around the diaphragm just under the bust. It’s always an even number, like 32, 34, 36, 38, etc. If her measurement is an odd number, (33 for example), just round it up to the next even number down (32) or up (34) based on whether she typically prefers a snug or loose fit.

Cup: The infamous cup size. It’s the letter that comes after the band size, like A, B, C, etc. The higher the letter, the bigger the cup.

‘Cups’ are measured by the fullest part of her bust known as her ‘bustline’. The difference between the band measurement and the bustline measurement indicates her cup size.

CUP SIZE CHART:

Difference 0 to 1.5 1.5 to 2.5 2.5 to 3.5 4.5 to 5.5 5.5 to 6

(Inches)

Cup Size A B C D E

So now you know the basics. No more of the “guest work” method. Let’s move on to the next level. Lingerie is not just about band and cup size.

Style, prints, cololur & size

Another consideration is matching the style, prints and colour of lingerie to her complexion, eyes, and hair. This may seem like a non-brainer, but you’d be amazed at how many men mess up. As you browse through your selection, keep an eye on how the item colours work with the different models’ complexion and haircolour. Different colours work better with particular skin tones. It is never an exact science, but at the end of the day, you should be able to grasp how an item will look on your body.

If you desire lingerie that appeals to her sexier side, try a feminine lace number or one lavished with intricate embroidery. You can find these in your favourite intimate apparel and body essential boutiques.

Be adventurous and play with colours. The better intimate apparel and body essential boutiques usually have a variety of lingerie in the trendiest colours.

Take a peek at your spouse’s or girlfriend’s wardrobe and search for hints as to which colours to match and compliment-as well as which colours to stay away from. If she loves white, your job is easy. If she frolics in soft tones of peaches and cream, you’re also on safe grounds.

But if you don’t see any hot pink in her closet, it’s probably wise to say away from it in a teddy or chemise, no matter how much you may like it yourself! Remember, she’s the one wearing it, and unless it suits her style and personality, it’ll be relegated to the bottom of her drawer, banished forever!

If casual and comfy wear is her game, great! Visit your favourite intimate apparel and body essential store and get her an exquisite cotton lingerie in the latest sexy designs.

Finally, let’s have a little honesty — in truth, you are not only buying lingerie for her; you are buying it more for yourself. You know it, and she’ll know it, so put the games, alright! Better to hang on to these pointers and beat the rest to it. Win in getting the best for her.

Remember that this is supposed to be a present for her.

She’ll appreciate it even more when it is for no apparent occasion.

Think style, not sleaze.

Go for simple. If it requires strange body contortions and extreme discomfort, skip it.

When in doubt, go basic black. Black will look great on just about anybody. This is true not just in lingerie, but in all levels of fashion. It has rung true for centuries, and will remain so for centuries more. Why- Who cares! It’s always nice having a back-up plan that looks fabulous.

That’s all, boys, now Go Shop! For that special woman in your life.
