Over at Trafalgar House
Trafalgar House was the venue last week for a meet-and-greet session. The new High Commissioner, Peter Mather and wife Elisabeth, (quite a handsome couple) are refreshingly laid back. Elisabeth is Austrian. The turn-out was also refreshing. Minister Burchell Whiteman was accompanied by his charming daughter Gail, who is now a lawyer.
Joline was away helping to pack up their other daughter Lisa who, having completed studies in Washington, is soon to join the Institute of Jamaica. Quality parents produce quality children.
Roy and Sylvia Collister were also out as were Desmond and Peggy Blades. Looking amazingly refreshed after their Mediterranean cruise with a retail stop in Capri were Mike and Thalia Lyn. Mike was gorgeous in his crisp white linen shirt. Regrettably, there are no photos since the over-zealous security guards refused our photographer access to Trafalgar House.
Kathy Owen is back. Her four-month sojourn in Europe is over; future plans are to reinvent herself.
The fabulous Ayisha Richards is working in the Virgin Islands.
The honeymoon is over and the affair has recommenced. No, silly, he won’t be leaving his very wealthy wife any time soon.
The whispers are getting louder about that upscale resort. Could the possibility really exist that the mighty chain would pull out from Jamaica?
And as we get ready for the opening of Emancipation Park, what’s up with the ghettoisation of the city? Unauthorised vendors are everywhere. Look at the front gates of Devon House. The horrors that took place across from the Pegasus. The vendors on Trafalgar Road. Can somebody take back the city before it’s too late? Liguanea is a beggar’s paradise. There’s filth everywhere.
A Bientot!
P.S. The divorce date is August 21st More anon!.
