Here comes the bride
The Garrison Church, Up Park Camp, was the venue Saturday April 26 for the marriage of Ruth Robinson to Major David Cummings on Saturday April 26. The bride’s arrival was heralded by the sounds of the trumpet. At times overcome with emotion, Ruth walked to the altar in a strapless heavily beaded wedding gown.
The A line skirt was accented with pearls and sequins, the tiara held back the bride’s elegant cascade of curls, and restrained the elbow length veil. The bride carried a bouquet, created by Petals and Promises, which comprised cala lilies, and roses of dusty pink, and champagne. The groom stood a study of sartorial elegance in #1 ceremonial dress. The officiating minister was Major Rev Dr Sirrano Kitson.
The reception followed at the Talk of the Town, restaurant, Jamaica Pegasus, where Petals and Promises created a soft romantic ambiance using votive candles and roses set in cracked ice. Guests enjoyed the music of the military band during dinner.
The couple honeymooned at Sandals Royal Montego Bay. A second European honeymoon is planned as soon as Major Cummmings completes further studies in the United Kingdom.
