Festive daytime Styles
It’s funny how we spend so much time on what to wear to the office during the festive season, and what to slip on for those many festive soirees. But we often ignore the long daytime hours of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and all those other days when friends either pop in or you’re invited over for a lyme. The question then becomes ú what do I wear to arrive looking chic, but understated ú to remain elegant until dusk and comfortable while eating, drinking, and being merry?
Our suggestion at the All Woman Fashion desk is to sparkle in comfortable white this season. Opt for loose-fitting white flowing dresses, skirts, and trousers. Use your favourite pieces of jewellery to add your own festive colour to white. Soft, sensuous linens, cottons, and silks are the fabrics of choice. Add lip gloss, sheer blush, a splash of Burberry eau de parfum, pretty sandals in gold, bronze, pink, blue, or green, and you’ll be good to go.
