Just when we thought it was going to be another boring week about showers, delaying the conference and the fight for leadership and Andem’s dental visit to KPH.
The real power brokers jetted in. The Cayman money, as you can well understand, has got to be moved to higher waters (no pun intended). No Jamaican bank was called.
And the global fabulocracy (a truly select group of under 27 persons) managed to upstage that other event and truly illustrated that they in another five years – hopefully less – will be running things in the region and naturally by extension, the world. The only persons missing were hot attorney-at-law Camillo Gonsalves and Peter Bunting who was in the United Kingdom.
How well connected? Let’s just say that Patrick Casserly will soon have another huge announcement to make and that thanks to Jaimie Stewart, Tatler has the only autographed copy of Bergdorf Blondes on the Rock. There was magazine discussion – Douglas Gordon had jetted in – upscale getaways, private jets, cable companies and we could go on.
The global fabulocracy continued the weekend on the private island, then at Tina Myers’ super chic wedding reception or at The Half Moon.
