Of the Magnificent 8, Bumps and Sheryl Lee Ralph
What an amazing week! For just when we thought it was all about board members not understanding when to step down, along came eight Business Observer reasons to want to stay in Jamaica. Hugh Scott, Rocky Shields, Michele Hamilton, Gordon Tewani, Marc and Alexander Melville, Kenny Benjamin, Joseph Issa and William Massias. Now can we all celebrate wealth for our nation and stop blaming our poverty on others?
Hollywood star Sheryl Lee Ralph seems set to ‘jump the broom’ albeit for the second time. This time around, the bubbly Jamaican seems to have her eyes on the White House. It’s a State Senator, we’re told.
They’re fabulous, pregnant and not afraid to show off the ‘bumps’. Our lens caught the absolutely gorgeous Julie Seaga Saturday last at that celeb wedding in the second city.
Fathers, cameras and their daughters seem all the rage. First, we caught Eddie Seaga at darling Anabella’s wedding and then more recently Captain Lorcan De Lisser as his daughter Natalia participated in the recent Miss Jamaica Universe competition.
Maid in the bedroom.
The neighbours are not in the least judgmental, but when the silver-haired one’s (who looks down on all and sundry, until dusk that is.) personal maid adds further warmth to his duvet. brows are indeed raised.
Movement?
It’s not yet finalised, but she would add such glamour to Port Antonio.
Of Books.
Blame it on that sexy head of James Robertson, but since last week’s revelation about Othello .it’s this month’s must-read for the smart set.
For those idlers, like Tatler, the book of choice has the approval of the president of the Second Wives’ Club and is called The Right Address by Carrie Karasyov & Jill Kargman.
Of Travel.
This one is shaping up to be a priceless vacation. It’s all very hush-hush, but the discreet phone line at Total Travel has been receiving enquiries for September’s 14-day voyage aboard the Regatta sailing from Dover to Rome.More info on Stanja’s wedding
The rings were from Tiffany’s and the newly-weds honeymooned at a house in a river in North Florida.
The biggest buzz.
It opens soon but they’re already beating down the doors of Mario Machado’s new restaurant. It’s straight out of Rodeo Drive with a secret entrance and exit to boot.
