Lawrence: The whole experience has truly enhanced me as a person. I am just being me and to be accepted for that feels great.
aw: What do you think is the true importance of beauty pageants like Miss Jamaica and Miss World?
Lawrence: These beauty pageants are important because they are about celebrating and showcasing beautiful people with beautiful minds, not just faces.
aw: We just got a sneak peek into your Miss World wardrobe. Do you have any favourite pieces?
Lawrence: I love all the pieces. I am very satisfied with the wardrobe.
aw: When you return from the pageant, what are some of the projects you plan to undertake as Miss Jamaica?
Lawrence: We have not made any formal plans as yet because of the short time, but when I get back, I plan on doing a lot of outreach. I am willing to go out there and work. I want to be ever-present and work to help make changes in the society.
aw: How would you encourage young ladies who aspire to become the next Miss Jamaica, but lack motivation?
Lawrence: I would encourage any girl to enter the competition because it offers a boost in esteem and confidence from the elimination round to the final night. You should milk it for all it is worth because you learn alot and it changes you for the better.

Lawrence: My family has been my backbone and God has always been the head of my family.
aw: What qualities do you look for in a male companion?
Lawrence: (Laughs) I always look for personality. He has to be grounded. I’m not the superficial type; I look beyond the outside.

Lawrence: A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
aw: Name three things you can’t leave home without.
Lawrence: My handbag, which has everything in it. It is very huge. Also, my cell phone and, of course, my clothes (Laughs).
