Aisle Moment.
It can for many a bride be the most dreaded part of her wedding day. For the well-rehearsed and confident bride however, it can be as formidable a moment as a much-acclaimed model sashaying on the runway at Fashion week.
How to make the most of your 60 seconds of fame?
Love everything about the moment and take a deep breath the minute you get your cue. Now exhale slowly and smile. Ignore the knots in your stomach by taking small ‘power breaths’, find a friendly face (there should be lots) and hold your father’s arm even tighter.
Don’t forget that it’s the same arm that has supported you all these years. Now search for your groom. Smile again. Allow the dress to truly caress your body. Slow the walk. Slow the heartbeat and say sotto voce.’Here comes the bride.’ Now head down the aisle and wallow in your 60 seconds.
Will you, your dress and your father have enough aisle room?
