Half Moon Introduces Cruise Day Wedding Packages
Half Moon has long been a destination paradise for romance and now cruise passengers wishing to tie the knot can experience a memorable Half Moon wedding as the resort introduces its cruise day wedding packages.
“This is a side of the market we are very excited to tap into,” said Myrtle Dwyer, Half Moon’s director of sales and marketing. “Statistics have shown that the number of cruise ship passengers arriving on our shores has been steadily increasing. Up to March, over 400,000 cruise passengers visited Jamaica, an increase of 1.3 per cent over last year. With these cruise wedding packages we are satisfying the needs of couples who want the best of both worlds – a cruise vacation and the magic of a destination wedding.”
The Shore Romance package, which costs US$3,900, includes all the amenities needed for a memorable Half Moon wedding; marriage officer, professional videographer and photographer, two chilled bottles of champagne, chef’s selection of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres for up to ten persons, wedding cake, two witnesses, and other wedding day amenities, plus the services of a June Wedding Incorporated certified wedding planner. The package which is valid until December 14 also includes round-trip transport from the Montego Bay Cruise Ship Pier as well as a day use room at the resort.
For couples who want to add an extra verve to their nuptials, the Shore Paradise package includes professional make-up for the bride, lavish floral arrangements, Swedish massage for the bride and groom, a flautist or violinist, plus all the inclusions of the Shore Romance package for US$6,200.
For couples wanting a traditional Half Moon wedding experience, the resort offers a variety of wedding packages including the “One Love”, “Laughter” and “Always and Forever” packages. These packages include marriage officer, bridal bouquet, boutonnière for the groom, corsage for the mother, wedding cake, wedding pictures, wedding video and much more. The resort also offers exciting packages for group wedding parties of 15 or more rooms.
