Vows – A SUPREME WEDDING
The romantic Italian city of Venice was where Supreme Ventures President and CEO Brian Reginald Austin George wed the stunning local fashion designer, College Lifestyle magazine editor and TV show producer Keneea Tanisha Linton.
The bride wore a creation from her own design house — a tube-bustier pleated silk shantung mermaid ivory gown with handmade rosettes — and finished the look with a fascinator veil by Cinderella Hats. The groom styled in a black custom-designed three-piece Carlton Brown suit.
The intimate ceremony, attended by immediate family and very close friends, took place at 11:00 am at the ancient 17th century Scuola Grande dei Carmini, Venice and was officiated by Pastor J Caio Bottega with Jamaican Lorraine Erica De Rossi-Walker, the official interpreter. Showers fell as the couple exchanged personal vows in a setting made even more spectacular by arrangements of lush white roses and orchids — each pledging undying support, love and appreciation of the other. Memorable moments included the melodic strains of Ave Maria as well as angelic harp sweeps.
The Reception: The reception took place at The Westin Hotel Europa & Regina, San Marco to which the couple and their guests were transported by privately chartered water taxis. The menu, carefully chosen by the couple in consultation with the hotel’s food and beverage department comprised:
Tuna Tartare with rye bread and summer leaves, Smoked goose breast with anjovis flavoured local radicchio or ravioli with bolognese sauce as starters.
Entrées allowed guests a choice of steamed sea bass with vegetables and virgin olive oil, chicken breast with asparagus au gratin or lamb chops au Provence with crunchy rosti.
Bianco di Custoza, Cavalchina and Valpolicella, Masi were served with lunch and a traditional Italian wedding cake was enjoyed by all as, well as the non-stop toasting with Dom Perignon.
Toasts were raised by best man Walter Scott, the groom’s friend and Supreme Ventures chairman Paul Hoo. The bride’s elder sister Denie Prescod toasted her stunning sister on behalf of the family while Christopher George toasted his father and welcomed Keneea to the family.
Brian and Keneea both took turns in thanking the guests for making their union that much more special. The couple presented guests with specially chosen masks and asked that they put them on. This gesture added further intimacy and fun to the already memorable day.
The Day After… The couple treated guests to a day at sea with stops on Murano Island, an island, in the Venetian lagoon where glass has been made for more than 700 years, as well as the colourful Burano Island also in Venice’s Lagoon.
The couple enjoyed a European honeymoon with stops in Milan, Paris, and London.
A reception was held in Jamaica upon the couple’s return.
