2012 Retail Expectations

Our retailers across the island are busy adding the final touches to their 2012 merchandising. There is after all the jazz festival on the horizon as well as Valentine’s Day. AW shares a peek at what a few of your favourite boutiques are planning to ensure an even better year of retail therapy.

A Marie Goddess Boutique

We know that women want more versatility in the clothes they wear. So, in our store you should expect to find the most unique designs and the latest fashion trends from around the world. Our mission for 2012 is to provide fashionable items for all occasions for our ‘goddesses’. Therefore, A Marie Goddess will have lots of bright fun colours, more exotic laces and sheers, dresses that women can wear to work as well as to an evening soiree, dinner outfits that stand out in any crowd. Every piece in the store will be a closet necessity in the latest fashion trends — colourful dresses, jackets, belts, and large clutch purses. Women want a more timeless look and we will offer this and more at A Marie Goddess in 2012.

We are trying to bring quality clothing at good prices. Persons often don’t know the difference between boutiques and stores. You get more attention, limited styles at our store. Price factor and quality factor and customer service are priorities. Most of the plans for last year could not have been accomplished, in the current economic climate so I hope there is a turnaround so that consumers can benefit. We will be redecorating and producing more advertisements.

Shop 7

Milbrook Plaza

We will continue to provide good costumer service. We also started our own clothing line recently and we hope to expand this in the coming year. We also opened a new location in The Whitter Village Centre in Ironshore, Montego Bay, and our customers there can expect nothing but the best from the Kerry Kay’s brand. We now supply long-length jeans in sizes 0-5x. Another big event that consumers can look forward to in 2012 is Miss Jamaica Plus-size Fashion Week, which we will be a major part of. We have also opened a text line (351-9031) in 2012, which we invite people to use to request a VIP discount package.

2011 was a very challenging year for retailers and we feel extremely hopeful for a more prosperous new year. The Jazz and Blues festival usually brings an influx of costumers and we are prepared to meet the needs of our consumers during this very busy period. We will be importing new stock from India so that our customers can have new items to choose from in 2012.
