For men: Signs your girlfriend is crazy
MANY men will tell their new women about their crazy exes, and in some cases the description is unjustified, as men’s actions often cause otherwise sane women to snap. But in other instances the description fits to a T, as explained by the men below.
Psychologists often filter ‘crazy’ behaviour into one of several different categories — like bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder (BPD) — which are marked by problems with regulating emotions and thoughts, hot and cold impulsive and reckless behaviour, and unstable relationships.
How do you know she’s not just your run-of-the-mill ticked-off lady, but that she has delved into the unstable?
Clinical psychologist Ashlei McFarlane said those with disorders like BPD will often become so attached to their partners that they will threaten or attempt suicide if they feel their partner is ending the relationship.
Below a few men reveal the point at which they knew their girlfriends were loco.
Dimitri M:
Mine is a tricky situation. I was in a relationship for six years (with my now wife), got bored, left, and picked up this female. It turns out the girl would boil my underpants and boxers and drink the water. I caught her one day and as the song says, Hit the road, Jack, and don’t you come back no more, no more, no more.

She would create fake Facebook profiles of women, add me and try to seduce me, then accuse me of being unfaithful and entertaining other women.
Jermaine B:
She would watch me while I sleep. One morning about 2:00 I woke up and she was standing over me, just staring. It almost gave me a heart attack, trust me. When she saw that I was frightened, she just gave me a cold stare and an about turn and walked out of the room. It was a WTH moment for me.
Tafari S:
We attended different universities in close proximity and she used to leave her college and come and sit in my lectures and tutorials, and even my club society. She made continuous visits to the campus and did absurd things to get my attention. For example, when I didn’t get the chance to see her, she would call the names of boys and tell me how they were going to take her out, and when I said ‘OK’ she would add something like, “They probably will kiss me too”. So I knew she was mental when she kept stalking me at school, coming to my classes, and when I realised her main aim was to make me jealous.
Ricardo J:
She went into my e-mail, changed my Facebook password and started messaging my female friends saying she’s the boss and their worst nightmare. She threatened my best friend — a female — telling her she would acid her. Now I don’t play those jokes, so she had to leave.

She wrote a suicidal note as if it was a research paper. She had an abstract (very weird), a rationale and the body detailed how she would have done it. Why? Because I was studying late and never had much time to spend with her. She was beyond clingy. I eventually broke it off, but I’m not a bad person so I ensured she got counselling and was OK before I left.
Jason W:
If she was upset or feeling down she would talk to herself and answer herself as well. It may sound funny, but if the answer was what she didn’t want to hear, she would break a pencil sharpener and use the razor to cut herself. I feared that she would eventually cut me one day. My mom is an evangelist and I told her and after she prayed she suggested I end it and allow her to sort out her emotions, so I just obliged, even though I’m not a Christian.
