10 love commandments
In 10 Commandments of Man, Ska legend Prince Buster’s Commandment Six goes something like this: “Thou shall not search my pockets at night or annoy me with your hearsays”. Princess Buster followed up with 10 Commandments from Woman to Man, and her Commandment Four, “Thou shall take me out seven days a week and twice on Sundays, ’cause at no time will I ever be tired of wearing fine clothes and eating fine food”, upped the entertainment game.
What if you could follow suit and give your partner even one commandment? What would it be?
Conroy, 33:
My commandment would be to be honest, don’t lie. Worse if it’s a lie that you know I will find out about.
Eddie, 39:
Do not cheat on me, that is a big thing for me. I can’t be with a cheater, so if the relationship isn’t working out for her, I would prefer if she told me this than go out and cheat on me.
Lyn, 26:
My commandment to my man would be to stop buy Lotto and wake up to the real world. All that money spent on a hope could be put to better use.
Kimone, 33:
Thou shall kill all lizards that make themselves present in my sight. He should be willing to kill them anytime, anywhere.
Rahjae, 22:
She should be educated and independent.
George, 40:
She must not be lazy. Not everything can be washed in a machine and I’m not going to eat fast food or snacks. I am not a child, I am a hard-working man.
Marcia, 43:
I agree with Princess Buster – take me out from time to time. I’m not going to stay in the house like the clock on the wall. Wine and dine me. If it’s even once a month, take me somewhere nice.
Jeffery, 36:
She must know not to take our relationship business all over the place. What happens between us stays between us.
Oral, 38:
Don’t put me on trial when 1) you are not a lawyer and 2) you have no proof of what you are accusing me of.
Pat, 28:
He has to be gainfully employed.
Aubree, 39:
I must be able to trust him. If I can’t trust him then there is no reason for us to be together.
Nichelle, 26:
He has to be able to do manual labour, meaning yard work. I don’t want no pretty boy who can’t even rake up the yard or cut grass.
Paul, 37:
She must not be miserable, nagging and over-sensitive. It’s a turn-off when a woman cries over everything.
TC, 24:
Don’t try to start arguments with me in front of my friends or out in public. Don’t try to embarrass me like that.
Andrew, 35”
Don’t use my children as a means to extort money from me for your own personal gain.
