What’s the worst lie anyone has ever told you?
GROWING up you’d always hear that “honesty is the best policy”. Not many people live by this saying, however, as they find it easier to lie and hide the truth. Sometimes when they are caught in a lie, they pile on even more lies just to avoid the truth. This week All Woman asked readers to share the worst lies they’ve been told by a partner.
Amanda D, 30:
I saw him with an older lady in a restaurant. When I asked him about it the next day he told me that she was his mother, but he couldn’t introduce me because she preferred his ex. The same lady came to my house one day with photos of them together and told me to leave him alone.
Marlon B, 25:
I was with a girl. She told me she had been single for a year and a half and was ready for a new man. I later found out that she was in one of those on-and-off relationships.
Michael W, 40:
My ‘son’s’ mother lied about him being my son. I supported them for 13 years.
Monique B, 35:
His overseas job assignments and visits to relatives were actually visits to his wife and children.
Dwayne C, 27:
My ex told me she resigned from her job because she wanted to try something new. The truth was that she got fired for stealing.
Kimone H, 32:
He told me doctors said he couldn’t get anyone pregnant. When I ended it I found out it was a lie because he had three children.
Anthony J, 20:
She told me she was saving sex for marriage. That was a lie because I found out that she was a lesbian and I was just for show.
