The revenge rebound
A break-up is never easy to deal with, especially if you had invested your entire heart in a man. Different women have different ways that they deal with these, including the ill-advised revenge rebound, as the women below share.
JM:
I slept with several guys thinking I was making him jealous but when I caught a STD, life got serious. Ladies, the best revenge is no revenge.
PH:
The best revenge a woman can take is taking care of herself. If a relationship ends, it is not the end of the world. Simply just move on. I tried that revenge story and while I was going out with Tom and Harry, my ex got married and started his family. Ladies, if it ends, take some time and work on you before you give another man a chance, and work on your goals.
MK:
I think revenge is for kids and I learnt that the hard way. So my ex left me about seven months ago and to be honest, I started sleeping with two men and he would see me out with one, and on a next occasion he saw me with the other. I saw him with the same girl he told me was just a friend when we were together. I heard she is pregnant and I saw her post a ring on her finger on Instagram a few days ago. I was with my ex for almost eight years and this girl has not even been with him for a year and to be honest, he looks happy. Ladies, learn to love and respect your body and take revenge by staying sexy.
KL:
The best revenge is no revenge. I am not a revenge taker now, but I was in my early 20s. I was spiteful, but the ex that I was trying to spite got married and has a big family and I am 35 years old and still seeking. I am sharing this because I want women to understand that revenge is never a good thing because the only person you’re hurting is you.
Kath:
I took some revenge on my ex-husband and saw that the only person who was hurt in the mix was me. Ladies, move on and leave your ex alone.
