His Netflix guilty pleasures
THANKS to video-on-demand apps and sites such as Netflix , and the vast number of channels that deliver only a specific type of content, it is very easy to find the exact types of shows and movies that you want to watch. But this convenience has its drawbacks. For some hyper-masculine men, this makes it harder for them to conceal their guilty pleasures. What excuse can you give to your wife when she finds you watching Orange is the New Black all by yourself on Netflix ? It didn’t just come on by itself, now did it?
These girls tell All Woman the things in their mates’ “recently watched” tabs that they dare not tell his friends:
Sheena, 28, PR officer:
My boyfriend came home and saw me watching Rupaul’s Drag Race one time and fully cursed me out for watching foolishness on his cousin’s Netflix account, saying his cousin might think he was the one watching it. Next thing I know, the next time I sat down to watch it, it was two episodes further than I left it. He said since I already damaged his reputation he might as well enjoy the show.
Kenia, 23, student:
He is low-key a Tyler Perry Studios/Madea fan, but he watches them and pretends not to be interested. His face gives him away though. He also likes to watch Generations on Sundays, even though he is always saying it’s garbage.
Stephanie, 30, unemployed:
My husband watches things like Devious Maids, Jane the Virgin and Ugly Betty with me, and he isn’t even apologetic about it. If you want to see him angry just let me watch an episode without him! I just can’t let his friends know.
Mikela, 34, online store owner:
My boyfriend specifically looks out for movies and shows with girl-on-girl action in them. He also prefers romantic-comedies and chick flicks over things like action and horror. I don’t mind at all, because I prefer those genres. As long as he doesn’t try to get the girl-on-girl stuff in real life, I’m good.

Cartoons! Cartoons! Cartoons! He keeps trying to convince me that Dragon Ball Z is for adults, but every episode looks the same to me. He also likes SpongeBob, and the really raunchy ones like Family Guy and Brickleberry.
Tashna, 33, nail technician:
He watches the series that I watch, and he acts like he is turned off by some scenes, but he sits right there and absorbs them. He also watches the Lifetime movies with me, and nobody has to tell him when Keeping up with the Kardashians, Real Housewives and Love and Hip Hop are on. He always acts like it’s because there is nothing better to watch.
