Mystic recreation
AS most creatives have been feeling a resurgence of inspiration with the lifting of COVID protocols and lockdowns, make-up artist Shenelle, muse Christina and photojournalist Orville Spence were discussing how it affected their livelihood, and the now rise in the cost of living.
Somehow, the discussion took a weird turn — to which new and old movies were good. “We all laughed at some of the choices, but agreed X-Men: Days of Future Past was one of the best,” Spence tells All Woman.
The make-up artist hit upon the character Mystic with the blue skin as an idea, so she googled the look and saw a similar image.
“We planned the best date and this became our avant-garde recreation,” Spence said of the recreation.
