THE Business Social brings highlights from two events this week. First, the recent launch of the Advocate Innovate and Mobilise (AIM) programme between the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS) and the European Union at AC Hotel Kingston, recently.

Gary “Butch” Hendrickson, president of CVSS, stressed to participants the value of forging relationships and partnerships, which he said are crucial to being successful in a competitive environment. He commended the partnership with EU and CVSS, which he said will have far-reaching impact on civil society organisations.

Then we are talking tech with MC Systems. The entity hosted the MC Systems Microsoft Dinner at Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in St Andrew recently, where the conversation surrounded Microsoft Leap, a global programme designed to accelerate job readiness for careers in technology. MC Systems started offering the programme this August.

AIM is a 30-month programme of activities targeted at building the capacity of civil society organisations. The programme was launched on Thursday, October 12 at AC Hotel Kingston.
