WATCH: More than two dozen Haitians detained in Portmore

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — More than two dozen Haitians were reportedly detained by the police on Monday in Edgewater, Portmore, St Catherine.

While the exact number of Haitians detained has not been confirmed, Observer Online understands that some 32 Haitians were picked up by police Monday evening.

Reports are that police officers acting on intelligence went to a location where the Haitians were seen.

They were reportedly later processed by a representative of the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency at the Greater Portmore Police Station.

It is unclear whether the Haitians have been charged.
