Busy Signal thrilled as Spanish collab After Party tops iTunes Latin USA chart

AMID last Friday’s release of Latin artiste Mel Granda’s After Party, which features dancehall heavyweight Busy Signal and Osmani La Voz, the pulsating track is already creating waves on the Latin charts in the United States. The track climbed from number four last weekend and is currently sitting at number one on the Latin USA iTunes chart.

The high-energy collaboration commands attention from the opening chords, with Granda and Osmani La Voz kicking off the track over dancefloor-ready percussion and an intoxicating, uptempo vibe.

A mainstay on the international scene among dancehall acts, Busy Signal is no stranger to collaborations of this nature, and the hard core lyricist, made it clear he was determined to again demonstrate his versatility and provide a new sound experience to his fans across the globe.

“The collaboration is a blend of the latin and dancehall cultures. I just wanted to explore the latin market and fuse both genres. My fans are worldwide so I have to show them seh mi versatile while spreading the dancehall culture. It’s a good look for both genres. Big thanks to the fans for their support, keep on streaming After Party. Big up Crawba. We give thanks to the Almighty,” Busy Signal told the Jamaica Observer.

Producer Crawba Genius added that Busy Signal was the perfect complement for the track, given his wide range of style and influence.

“The idea was a no-brainer for me to add Busy Signal to this upbeat track. Busy is limitless when it comes on to music, he is always exploring different sounds and vibes so when I told him about the collaboration, he was ready — likewise the Spanish artistes Mel Granda and Osmani La Voz,” the producer noted.

“The feedback is crazy. I am elated to see the latin and dancehall fans showing support digitally, streaming and downloading the song. We are now at number one on the Latin USA iTunes Chart. That’s huge, I mean it’s just a week since the release, and we give thanks,” he added.

Mel Grande is alslo elated with the success of the track.

“I wanna say thanks to everyone for the love and support we have been receiving daily for the After Party song. Shout out to Busy Signal, Crawba Genius and Osmani Garcia. Love you guys and one love. Keep streaming,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
