Six years after he stepped into the gospel music arena, singer Johnmark Wiggan has released his debut album VALIDATION.

The 15-song project, which took four years to complete features collaborations with Alicia Taylor, Montay, Jhenelle Grant, Blessed Messenger, and Kevin Downswell.

“I noticed a disconnect between the youth of today and the message, it’s like they are searching for who they are. This album addresses the issue of validation that Christians and non-Christians find themselves in,” Wiggan disclosed in an interview with the Jamaica Observer.

VALIDATION was launched last week and it was followed by a concert held at the Swallowfield Chapel last Friday, which saw Wiggan performing songs from the project.

Other artistes who performed at the concert included Rhoda Isabella, Rondell Positive, Oshane Mais, Samuel Medas (from Guyana), Kevin Downswell, and Prince Saj, among others.

Said Wiggan, “We worked with a wealth of talent for this project and the reception so far has been amazing. It has been received very well and this has exceeded our expectations.”

Producers who worked on the project include Wiggan, Daniel “Ears Music”, Cross Links Productions, Glenroy “Dr Beats”James, Pioneer Music, and Llamar “Riff Raff”Brown.

Musicians who lent their talents include Jonathan Foga on bass, Daniel Beverly on keyboards and Joel Graham on drums.

Run Me Dung, Champion, Hallelujah, Beautiful and Hero are some of the songs featured on VALIDATION.

Wiggan won the Sterling Gospel Music Awards for Breakout Sensation of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, in October.
