Jr Bloodline

JUNIOR Bloodline has made his name as an events promoter, being the conceptualiser of Morning Bliss, held three times annually.

As a sound system selector, he has been a part of Bloodline Sound since 2008. However, it was a decade later that he decided to venture into music production with the Morning Bliss rhythm, co-produced with Romaine “Luigi” Brown.

Last week, Junior Bloodline released the Holi Wata rhythm, in tandem with Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) St Remy Signature brand.

“The project Holi Wata really came about after I recorded the song Holi Wata by T-Nez and based on the feeling the song gave me, and in these times, when everyone singing about Obeah, it was only right to remind the public that to be anointed by the blood of Jesus is still the only way to be blessed,” Junior Bloodline told the Jamaica Observer.

Holi Wata rhythm comprises the title track of the same name by T-Nez, as well as Tears and Bloodshed by Chronic Law, Success by Yaksta, Stronger by Prohgress, Visions by Onsoundmynd, Born Star by Kyodi, Buy Life by Pesh Don, Pay Day by Tatik, and Platinum by Nicko Blast.

He spoke about the association with St Remy Signature.

“It’s a new drink to the market and we have partnered with the brand for this project. It’s a French brandy that is a very light and smooth spirit. Seeing that Holi Wata rhythm is to relax the mind, what better drink to sip and listen to some good music,” he said.

“I have been involved in music production almost for almost. I started out as a studio engineer but I have been producing on my own label for about four years now… Whenever you see a Jr Bloodline song, you will hear mostly uplifting music, music for inspiration, music about God’s blessings and mercy, and I will always thrive to keep the dance hall juggling alive,” he continued.

Last year, Junior Bloodline scored a radio hit with his production Funny How by Onsoundmynd.
