NOT much has been heard from singer Terry Linen in a while. He makes a comeback with his latest single Playing Money Games.

Playing Money Games debuts at 23 on the South Florida Reggae chart. Produced by Terry Linen, it was released by Tad’s Records.

“Playing Money Games was inspired by everyday lifestyle. You have a girl and the only time she wants money is when she check fi yuh. It happens to man, and it happen to woman,” Terry Linen told the Jamaica Observer on Tuesday.

The St Elizabeth-based entertainer — who is known for his hit cover of Whitney Houston’s My Love is Your Love as well as Couldn’t Be the Girl for Me and No Time to Linger — says he is gearing up to release a new album.

The yet-to-titled album, which will feature productions by Terry Linen and Tad’s Records, will be the follow-up to his 2008 effort Better Man.

Still on the South Florida Reggae chart, I Need You by Audley Rollen continues to hold down the number one spot while Reverse the Curse by Richie Stephens steps up from seven to four.

Hezron’s Save the Children darts from 14 to 12.

On the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart, singer Richie Stephens has the number one song with Reverse the Curse.

Julian Marley’s The Tide is High moves from 11 to eight, while Kingston Traffic by Naomi Cowan glides from 15 to 12.

Veteran singer Leroy Smart makes moves as he bolts from 24 to 20 with Always and Forever.

Singer Mikey General has a new entry at 28 with Loyalty.

In the Cayman Islands, Ding Dong’s Bounce is the number one song on Hot 104.1 FM’s Hot 5 chart. Tik Toc Summer by Vybz Kartel is number two, GPP by Jada Kingdom is three, Last Last by Burna Boy is four, and Bunji Garlin’s Bacchanal and Water is five.

On the streaming- and sales-driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers clock 137 weeks in the number one spot with Legend.

Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy is firm at two, while Stick Figure’s World on Fire inches up to three.

UB40’s Greatest Hits is steady at four, Set in Stone by Stick Figure is five, while Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul dips three places to six.

Musical Youth’s Anthology remains at seven where it debuted at last week, while Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock re-enters at eight. Gifted by Koffee is down to nine, and Time Bomb by Iration is 10.

On the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, Toni-Ann Singh by Burna Boy featuring Popcaan rises from 22 to 20, while Tems’ cover of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry tumbles from 16 to 29.
