KINGSTON, Jamaica— Arnett Gardens scored deep into stoppage time on Sunday to earn a 1-1 draw against Humble Lion in their return round Jamaica Premier League game at Effortville Community Centre to hold on to their lead in the points standings.

Arnett Gardens, who are drawing back- to- back games after winning six games in a row, are on 38 points, two more than Cavalier FC who play on Monday, while Mt Pleasant FA are in third place after they were beaten 2-0 by 10-man Waterhouse who have won three games in a row.

Omario Walters gave Humble Lion the lead in the 20th minute and were on their way to a win before Ajuma Johnson scored nine minutes into time added to earn a draw.

Shaquiel Bradford scored in the seventh minute and Damion Binns added a second from the penalty spot in the 90th minute as Waterhouse blanked Mt Pleasant FA 2-0 to avenge their first round loss.

Waterhouse played a man short from the 40th minute.

Harbour View also got a late reprieve when Cristojaye Daley scored a penalty 11 minutes into time added as they earned a 2-2 draw against Tivoli Gardens in the first game of a double-header played at Jamaica College.

Barrington Pryce, who scored a double, gave Tivoli Gardens the lead in the eighth minute before Timar Lewis levelled the scoring at 1-1 in the 24th minute.

Pryce restored Tivoli’s lead in the 71st minute but Daley salvaged a point for Harbour View who are in fourth place on 33 points.

Portmore United beat neighbours Dunbeholden 3-1 with all the goals coming in the second half.

Tevin Scott opened the scoring in the 47th minute after coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half and another substitute Chevaughn Walsh made it 2-0 in the 69th minute.

Dunbeholden’s second half substitute Dean-Andre Thomas pulled one back for Dunbeholden in the 84th minute but Alex Marshall sealed the points for Portmore when he scored seven minutes into time added.

At Wespow Park in Tucker, St James, Montego Bay United and Vere United had their biggest scoring day this season, both scoring three goals but had to settle for a 3-3 draw in a game played in rain and with muddy underfoot conditions.

Veteran striker Allen Ottey scored a double for the first time in years but a penalty in time added, earned Vere United a draw.

Ottey started the scoring in the fourth minute but Distin Cohen tied up the scores at 1-1 in the 44th minute and the visitors took the lead in the 68th minute through Romario Brown.

Another goal from outside the box from Donovan Brown brought MBU back on level terms at 2-2 in the 78th minute and the home team thought they had all three points when Ottey scored from a defensive error in the 82nd minute.

But, an infringement late in time added saw Vere United being awarded a penalty and Javier Brown made no mistake.
