Body of homeless man found at Mandeville Shopping Centre

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a homeless man whose body was found at the Manchester Shopping Centre on Thursday morning.

His identity has not yet been released.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 6:00 am, the police were called to a section of the shopping centre after a passerby stumbled on the body.

The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for an autopsy.

This latest incident follows last Friday’s death of an elderly man near the Mandeville Regional Hospital on Caledonia Road.
