Car goes airborne, crashes into second floor of Pennsylvania house
A car launched into the air and landed in a second-floor bedroom of a Pennsylvania home, where it remained dangling on Sunday afternoon in a scene straight out of an action movie.
Twenty-year-old Evan Miller has since been charged after the incident as police determined that he crashed into the home intentionally, according to a police report.
The crash occurred when Miller, driving at high speed, veered off the road, became airborne due to a change in elevation, and hit the house.
Police officers that responded to the incident saw the car hanging from the roof of the building, in an unforeseen scene. Three people were reportedly inside the house at the time of the crash. It is unclear if anyone got injured.
Miller was transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital by emergency services after he was removed from the car. There are no further details on the condition of Miller.
Police said will be charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief.
After clearing the incident, fire crews helped stabilise the home and assisted the occupants with preparing for upcoming storms.
