Cavalier lead in Lynk Cup KO semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Cavalier FC took a slim lead over Dunbeholden while Harbour View and Portmore United were locked at 2-2 after their first-leg, semi-final Lynk Cup KO clash at the Stadium East field on Friday.
An own goal in the second half was the difference for Cavalier when Shevan James headed the ball past his own goalkeeper in the 51st minute.
In the first game, Chevaun Walsh scored a brace for Portmore United after Harbour View had come from a goal down to lead in the second half.
Walsh gave Portmore United the lead in the 33rd minute but Harbour View rallied to level the scores when Jashaun Anglin scored in the 42nd minute and then went ahead just before half time when Cristoje Daley converted a penalty.
Walsh would have the final say however when he scored in the 63rd minute, taking full advantage of an error in the midfield when a Harbour View player lost the ball.
The return legs will be played next Thursday.
