CCTV footage lands man behind bars in Trelawny
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage has led to the arrest and charge of a 30-year- old man, who was allegedly caught stealing several items from a bar on Bay Road in Wakefield, Trelawny on Thursday, February 2.
Charged is Sheldon Lawrence of Moore Park, Adelphi in St James.
Reports are that about 10:30 pm, Lawrence, along with other perpetrators, broke into the bar and stole several items. Among the list of items stolen were a 32” television, a sound box, alcoholic beverages and $ 20,000 in cash. The items are valued at more than $200,000.
A report was made to the police and Lawrence was subsequently arrested following a review of the footage and statement collected.
Investigations are continuing in an effort to nab the other suspects involved.
