Curfew in Arnett Gardens extended
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The 48-hour curfew which was imposed in sections of Arnett Gardens (Top Jungle), Hopeful Village and sections of Torrington Park in the Kingston West Police Division on Sunday has been extended for another two days.
The curfew which was initially imposed on October 15 at 8:00pm was scheduled to end on Tuesday, October 17, but authorities have pushed the end date to Thursday, October 19 at 8:00pm.

The security measure follows Saturday evening’s killing of a man who residents say is a don from the ‘Top Jungle’ section of the community.
Damani Taylor, otherwise known as Hutchie Pang, was shot dead in a section of the community known as ‘Back a Wall’.

The boundaries of the curfew are:
North: Along an imaginary line from the Roundabout, vicinity the tank to Studio One Boulevard vicinity LS Duhaney & Company Ltd.;
East: Along Slipe Pen Road from LS Duhaney & Company Ltd to the Torrington Bridge;
South: Along an imaginary line from the Torrington Bridge to the intersection of 8th Street and Collie Smith Drive;
West: Along Collie Smith drive from the intersection of 8th Street and Collie Smith Drive to the Roundabout vicinity of the tank.
During the hours of the curfew, residents within the boundaries are required to remain in their premises for 48 hours, unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
