EduCom CEO Elvis King dies suddenly

Elvis King, CEO of EduCom Co-operative Credit Union Limited, has died, the company announced on Thursday.

King passed away suddenly on Thursday, the company said.

Due to King’s death, all EduCom branches were closed early for the day, at 12 noon.

King served more than 30 years in the financial services business, working his way up the corporate ladder since joining Association of Assistant Masters and Mistresses (AAMM) as a loans officer in 1991.

Throughout his career he served in a number of positions including marketing manager and loans manager at AAMM.

Prior to being appointed CEO of EduCom, King served as general manager of AAMM, which in 2015 merged operations with UWI Co-operative Credit Unions to form EduCom.
