Human skin found in shallow grave in August Town

ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Human skin was discovered at what is believed to be a burial site at Quarry in Goldsmith Villa, August Town, St Andrew.

The site was discovered on Tuesday evening, but excavation was not done until today, the police said.

Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE indicate that around 5:00 pm on Tuesday, police received information surrounding the possible burial site of a missing person.

That missing person is said to be a 44-year-old resident of Goldsmith Villa.

It is understood that a team from the August Town Police Station went into the Quarry area, where a search was done. During the search, a shallow grave was discovered with a foul smell emanating from it.

Around 12:45 pm Wednesday, the scene was excavated and processed, during which the left foot of a black shoe along with what appeared to be 'foot skin' was found in the grave, the OBSERVER ONLINE was told.

The skin was taken to the morgue pending further investigation.
