Jahshii’s cryptic hospital post raises concerns from fans, colleagues
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A cryptic message accompanied by a photo of him fully clad in hospital gear and hooked up to an intravenous line (IV), was enough to send colleagues and fans of entertainer Jahshii sending out best wishes and prayers for the entertainer.
In a post to his official Instagram page on Friday morning, Jahshii showcased a video of himself lying in a hospital bed, seemingly receiving a blood transfusion. The footage was accompanied by a scripture from the Bible in which the entertainer declares the Lord will never leave nor forsake him.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you,” he captioned the hospital footage.
“No weapon formed against you from the enemy shall prosper! God is with you! Stay prayed up and I pray for a healthy recovery and strength,” entertainer Shaneil Muir commented under Jahshii’s post.
Valiant, Demarco and a host of other players from the industry also commented on the post, sending best wishes to the artiste.
It is unclear what caused the entertainer’s apparent hospitalisation but fans and colleagues alike showed concern for the Born Fighter artiste, who, in July, escaped death in a shooting on Constant Spring Road.
A motor vehicle in which the dancehall artiste was travelling on July 07, was attacked by armed men. Six men, all members of the artiste’s entourage, were shot and injured, however, Jahshii emerged from the incident unscathed.
“At about 4:15 am, a pickup type vehicle with Jahshii and several of his friends and associates was exiting Marketplace on to Constant Spring Road when men on bikes rode up and shot at the vehicle. Jahshii managed to elude his attackers and was not injured, but six persons were shot. None of the injuries are serious and they were treated at hospital,” head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, told Observer Online at the time.

That incident followed on the heels of the entertainer being questioned by the police in relation to the death of a businessman in Grant Pen back in June. The entertainer surrendered to the police in the company of his attorneys, King’s Counsel Peter Champagnie and Richard Lynch, after being named as a person of interest in the case.

Jashii again made headlines in September when news emerged that his brother, David Clarke, was shot and killed by gunmen. Another man was shot and injured in the incident.

The entertainer’s brother was seemingly laid to rest over the weekend. A picture of Jahshii standing over what appears to be his brother’s coffin was posted to his Instagram account with the caption, “Pain inna every language.”
