KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Competitions Committee of the Tier II Jamaica Football Federation is set to issue a ruling regarding the unplayed final round match between Lime Hall Academy and Albion Mountain. This decision will determine the last semi-finalist in the competition.

Three teams, Tru-Juice FC and Lime Hall Academy, who were on 24 points, and Meadforest FC- 22 points, went into Saturday’s final set of first-round games with a chance of joining Racing United and Treasure Beach FC, who had already secured their places.

Tru-Juice beat Portlanders FC 3-0 to secure third place and secure their semi-final spot, but the game between Lime Hall Academy and Albion Mountain was not played as the latter had a game in the semi-finals of the St Mary FA Major League.

It is also not clear whether teams were allowed to play in national and parish competitions at the same time.

Meadforest FC beat 10-man Falmouth United 6-1 to move into fourth place, on a temporary basis, pending the decision from the Competitions Committee.

Meanwhile, Racing United secured the top spot in the first round after holding off Treasure Beach 3-2 at Prison Oval while Wadada United secured their place for next season after a 1-0 win over Baptist Alliance.

Hopewell United joined Downs YC as the team that will be relegated after they both played out a 1-1 draw in their game at Orchard in Hanover.

Tru-Juice secured their place with two goals from Jevaiun Bascoe as they led 1-0 at halftime after he scored his first in the 28th minute.

Keastner Sturridge made it 2-0 in the 73rd minute before Bascoe completed his brace in the 78th minute.

Racing United led Treasure Beach FC 3-0 with a hat-trick from Raheem Edwards, who took his tally on the season to 27 goals, scoring in the 22nd, 42nd and 56th minutes.

Treasure Beach FC rallied late in the game when Romario Smith scored in the 89th minute and substitute Ryan Dwyer added a second in time added.

Meadforest FC kept themselves in the race with a big win at Elleston Wakeland Centre as Javane Bryan and Orane Ferguson, who came on in the 61st minute, both scored doubles, while Amali Randall and Delano Daley both got one each.

Haniff Hosang scored in the 50th minute for Falmouth United, who started the game with 10 men, and were tied at 1-1 then before Meadforest FC scored five unanswered goals in the second half.

At Irwin High, Rondolph Green scored in the 20th minute for Wadada United to beat Baptist Alliance 1-0 and save themselves from relegation as they finished with 10 points.

Hopewell United finished with eight points, the same as Portlanders FC, but with an inferior goal difference and joined Downs YC, two points, as the teams that will return to parish football next season.

Danyea Whitely scored in the 29th minute to give Downs YC the lead while Jadan Jumpp scored an equaliser for Hopewell United in the 90th minute.

Odane Wilberforce scored a double to lead Browns Town to a 5-0 win over Reno FC at Llandilo Sports Complex; Nathon Robinson, Rasheed Powery and Richard Ewart for the other goals.
