KC beat Charlie Smith 1-0 in rain-delayed match

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Kingston College are now five from five in the ISSA /Manning Cup following their 1-0 win over Charlie Smith in their rain and lightning affected contest at Calabar High on Wednesday.

The game was halted in the 57th minute due to persistent lightning. Rain followed shortly after which forced the game to resume over an hour later.

After the restart, Deshawn Byfield scored the winning goal in the 75th minute.

The second game of the double-header- Calabar against Hydel- which should have been played at 3:30 pm has been postponed to a date to be announced.

Several games were called off due to lightning and rain including Jose Marti vs St George’s College, Ascot vs Wolmer’s, Donald Quarrie vs Papine and Vauxhall vs St Jago.
