KC wins blistering Class 1 Boys’ 4x100m
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kingston College’s (KC) winning performance in the final of the Class 1 Boys’ 4x100m had the National Stadium in a frenzy at the 50th staging of the Gibson/McCook Relays on Saturday.
KC emerged the winners as a fast-finishing anchor leg allowed them to deny Jamaica College (JC) the win.
KC recorded a time of 40.41 seconds, while JC finished in a time of 40.36 seconds. Camperdown High copped the third spot in 40.37 seconds.
In the Class 2 equivalent of the event, Calabar High stormed to a winning time of 41.31 seconds to best Jamaica College, who claimed the runner-spot in 41.49 seconds. St Elizabeth Technical finished third in 41.73 seconds.
In Class 3, it was a battle between the boys from Red Hills Road and North Street. Kingston College (43.39) edged Calabar High (43.41) for the win. St Jago High’s 43.76 seconds rounded out the top three.
Jamaica College topped the field for the Class 4 Boys’ event in a time of 45.46 seconds, while St Jago High (45.61) and Calabar High (46.31) finished second and third respectively.
