Lyn advances to 100M breaststroke final at CAC Games
Jamaican swimmer Sabrina Lyn booked her place in Saturday night’s final of the women’s 100 metres breaststroke event at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.
Lyn advanced to the final after finishing third in heat three 1:14.12. The race was won by Byanca Rodriquez of Mexico in 1:09.16.
Lyn said that she is delighted to be in tonight’s final is looking forward to putting on a good showing.
“I am very happy to be in the final because this is not my best event. It is going to be a very tough final but I just going out there to do my best tonight,” she said.
Meanwhile, the country’s other swimmer, Sidrell Williams, failed to advance to the final of the men’s 100m freestyle after finishing fifth in his heat in 52.43 seconds. The race was won by Mexico’s Jorge Iga in 48.98.
